Everything you need to know before booking your private Louvre tour. If your question is not here, reach out — we are happy to help.
Every tour includes museum entry for all guests, access through the specific group entrance, and a fully private guided experience led by a licensed guide-conférencier. There are no hidden fees.
What you get for the price
We recommend booking at least a week in advance, especially during peak season (spring and summer). For larger groups, earlier is better — group tickets at the Louvre are subject to availability and require advance planning. That said, we do our best to accommodate last-minute requests whenever possible.
Please contact us to discuss your situation — we handle each case individually and always try to find a solution that works for both parties.
Once your tour is confirmed, we send a secure payment link by email. No payment is required at the enquiry stage — we confirm availability first, then arrange payment.
All our tours are entirely private — your group only, no strangers. We welcome groups of all sizes. Please mention the number of guests when you enquire so we can prepare accordingly.
We meet at the equestrian statue in the Cour Napoléon, in front of the Louvre pyramid. Your guide will be there to welcome you and take you through the specific group entrance — no queuing at the main entrance.
Yes. These three works are on permanent display and accessible whenever the museum is open. Rooms may occasionally close without notice for operational reasons, and other works may be moved for restoration or loans — but for these three icons, you can count on them being there.
If any of these three were ever not on display, rest assured — the entire planet would know about it before you do.
For any other specific work, if it is unavailable on the day, an equally fascinating alternative will always be proposed.
Absolutely — and we encourage it. If there is a particular work, period, or theme you would love to explore, mention it when you enquire. We cannot guarantee the presence of every specific work on the day, but we will do everything we can to include what matters most to you.
All tours are available in English and French. We would also love to offer tours in Spanish, Italian, German, and other languages — and we are working on it. If you would like a tour in another language, please mention it when you enquire and we will do our best to accommodate you.
Absolutely. We have extensive experience guiding families with children of all ages. Our approach — educational, visual, and always engaging — is designed to captivate young visitors as much as adult ones. Simply mention the ages of your children when you enquire, and we will adapt accordingly.
We also have a dedicated page for families with more information.
Yes, the Louvre is accessible, though not always the most straightforward to navigate with a wheelchair. If you let us know in advance, we will schedule an extra thirty minutes into your tour at no additional charge — just to make sure we have the time to see everything comfortably, without rushing. Consider it on us.
Comfortable shoes are essential — the Louvre involves a fair amount of walking on marble and stone floors. There is no strict dress code. We recommend bringing a light layer as some galleries can be cool. Everything else — tickets, entrance, guidance — is taken care of.
Our tours fall into three categories. Classic tours cover the essential Louvre — from a focused one-hour encounter to a three-hour journey through the full collection. Ancient civilisation tours are deep dives into Egypt, Mesopotamia, Greece and Rome. Thematic tours explore the collection through a single lens — a movement, a subject, or a question. Browse the full catalogue on our tours page, or ask us and we will recommend the right experience for your group.
