The perfect history lesson
This is the perfect history lesson of how the Louvre came to be, and gets you to the main attractions with ease and a good understanding of how they all fit into history. Simon was a fantastic guide, I feel like we lucked out with someone who really appreciates his work.
If we could bottle Simon's essence, the world would be a better place! He took a lot of time emailing me beforehand so he could completely customise our tour. I can't imagine a day in Paris being anything more interesting or fun! And when he makes a suggestion for a restaurant, take him at his word — it will be the best you ever had!
A wonderful taste of the Louvre
Our guide Simon was very knowledgeable, organised, enthusiastic, and practical. Simon had a plan, taught us very interesting points on the art, the history, and the buildings themselves. Very friendly and encouraged us to ask questions. A very pleasant experience for what might have been overwhelming due to the sheer size of the museum!
A wonderful way to see the Louvre
There is so much to see in a short period of time. Simon was our guide and you can hear the excitement in his voice as he describes the works of art and what was happening during each time period. Great tour!
Our small group tour was fantastic! I was amazed at Simon's knowledge and his ability to answer any and all questions. I had previously been to the Louvre with an audio tour, which has no comparison to the in-depth knowledge Simon was able to present. I would recommend this tour to everyone!
Like having a nephew with an art degree that you've never met but who is really happy to see you and truly loves the Louvre. Simon was a spectacular guide. He did everything: got tickets, showed us shortcuts, lots of behind-the-scenes stories. And he was incredibly patient, we missed our scheduled time and he rescheduled without hesitation.
You are so knowledgeable and simply a joy to spend a day with. We still talk about all the things you showed us. It was one of, if not the best part of our entire trip.
Claire was the best tour guide!
We had the most fabulous tour with Claire! She was so animated and such an amazing tour guide, extremely knowledgeable and her enthusiasm for her job certainly shines through. We loved every second of our time with her. I have been to the Louvre several times but never with a guide. I highly recommend this tour!
Simon was wonderful! He was very engaging, knowledgeable, and energetic. We saw the pieces we were hoping to see and he gave us great insight and perspective. After the official tour, we wandered for another hour without a guide and we missed Simon's enthusiasm!
Louvre tour with Claire
The Louvre tour with our guide Claire was excellent. Claire was extremely friendly, knowledgeable, very interesting and organised, enabling our tour to go smoothly. We covered a lot of must-see paintings and sculptures and Claire masterfully explained all the important facts and history of each one.
The only way to do the Louvre
I cannot recommend this tour enough. I recently went with my 12 year old son and we loved everything about it. The Louvre is huge and can be busy, but the combination of going at the end of the day and our incredible guide Simon meant we avoided the crowds, saw all the good stuff and had a great time. How he knows as much as he does is a mystery to me, but it was enough to keep both me and my 12 year old son riveted for 3 hours. Thanks Simon!
The art and history of the Louvre
Simon was an amazing tour guide. He is so passionate about art and history, and I could tell he really enjoys sharing this passion with others! I learned so much about the Louvre building itself and the art inside. You can tell he was excited to show us around, which made me more excited too!
We still talk about what I call "our magical morning at the Louvre with Simon." It was our favourite time in Paris. Sometimes, there's a special connection between people who have never met before — a unique energy while sharing an experience together. We loved the tour!

Excellent guided tour experience
My husband and my two adult children booked this private tour and we were lucky to have Simon as our guide. While I have been to the Louvre before, joining a guided tour was a completely different experience. Simon's enthusiasm for all the Louvre has to offer was contagious. He made the experience absolutely memorable and fun!
Claire was our tour guide and, well, she was brilliant! Her knowledge, passion and enthusiasm for art history was second to none! Whilst there were a lot of people, having Claire as our guide made the experience. Definitely recommend.

The BEST Louvre overview tour
I was travelling with my daughter and we wanted an overview of the Louvre. Claire was simply outstanding. Her knowledge was amazing and she managed to hit all the high points we were looking for! We were so glad to have found Claire - she was the best!
Simon was wonderful. He took us to see the works that I had requested and also took us to see his favourite areas. We did the 2-hour tour (it was a bit longer) and he gave us ideas for the next hour. The Louvre is massive, so I appreciated seeing the most important things. Simon suggested we start at 9am, happy we did.
